Fighting for Opportunity for All
Fighting for Opportunity for All
I believe every person in Missouri City is worth fighting for. I’m a community advocate, consensus builder and servant leader for every neighbor.
My name is James Davidson, and I’m running to be your next District B City Council member.
Missouri City is home. I was raised here, educated in FBISD schools and served this community through civic organizations throughout the region for decades.
I’m a Christian, husband, father and homeowner who chose to come back here to start a family because I believe in this City. It’s given me opportunities I couldn’t get anywhere else. Opportunity to thrive, build and grow in a safe place. That kind of opportunity should be for everyone who wants it. And it will be my campaign’s mission to make sure residents know that the “show me City” is here for them.
I can’t wait to get to work for you. Together, we can make this city a place for growth. Together, we can bring the District and City into a bright and prosperous tomorrow. I invite you to join me on this journey. Together, we can get the job done.
— James Davidson
District B stands at a turning point, and the decisions we make now will shape our future for generations. I envision a Missouri City that grows boldly, supports all residents, eases tax burdens, and leads with innovation, safety, and opportunity for all.
District B is the economic engine of Missouri City. I’ll help bring a more diverse array of jobs, support existing small businesses from 2234 to highway 6, streamline city processes, and work to attract innovative companies to the east side to grow our tax base.
I support our Police and Fire departments and will work to ensure all public safety teams are fully staffed, well-resourced, and engaged in community-based practices. I’ll also push for expanded services near key areas like the Texas Parkway corridor and Fort Bend Town Center to reduce crime.
As our city grows, I’ll focus on modern transit, safer roads, expanded green infrastructure, and smarter traffic systems that keep Missouri City moving and connected.
We need more diverse and affordable housing options. I’ll work to expand middle-income, mixed-use, and single-family housing so every resident can live with dignity.
Our seniors deserve to age with dignity, and I’ll advocate for tax relief, housing support, and new programs that allow longtime residents to thrive and stay connected in their communities.
I’m committed to promoting our district’s great amenities—dining, parks, entertainment, and activities for kids—making Missouri City even more attractive for families from Cartwright to Lake Olympia. I’ll work to create more ways families, new and longtime residents alike, can connect and share real feedback to help us keep improving our community.
I’ll build on the Mayor’s Youth Council with a citywide initiative that offers job training, college prep, and literacy support for our youth. By partnering with trusted community leaders, we’ll give young people real opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed.
It’s time Missouri City had healthcare to match its growth. I’ll advocate for full service healthcare facilities and increase our healthy food and lifestyle businesses in District B.
As your next Councilman I’ll be accessible, open, and ready to collaborate. My door will always be open—no exceptions.
I’ll ensure our City Manager and staff have the tools they need to succeed—because a strong team is essential for strong city services.
I’ll work with emergency services to build a crisis communication plan and storm readiness system that protects all residents, especially in high-risk areas.
We must build systems that help our city not just bounce back after weather disruptions or economic shocks—but bounce forward. I’ll push for proactive planning that prepares us for whatever comes next.
